David trained at the Newcastle Dental Hospital, qualifying in 2002. He practised as an associate in Newcastle before taking a post at Sydney Dental Hospital treating patients and teaching undergraduates.

He is committed to the ongoing development of his professional skills and to delivering excellent standards of clinical dentistry. He is currently studying for the Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
